![]() At this point Yuuko decides to accept her shadow half and she tells Teiichi her reason for remaining on earth 60 years ago there was a plague in their town. When they discover 6 of the seven mysteries Yuuko's sister (now an old woman) reveals that there was only ever 6: the seventh one never existed. If she can accept this part of her, she can remember why she still is trapped as a ghost, i.e. It is discovered that Yuuko has no memories as she forced her entire reason for existing into another dark form referred to as "Shadow Yuuko". Throughout the story, Teiichi and Yuuko discover the truth about these ghost stories while helping those who are troubled. Teiichi then decides to investigate her death by looking through the school's seven mysteries revolving around her. When he gets lost in one of the school's old buildings, he meets a girl named Yuuko Kanoe who reveals herself as a ghost with no memories. The story revolves around a first-year middle school student, Teiichi Niiya who had just enrolled at Seikyou Private Academy. It makes you think, refkect and empathize one way or another. Indeed, some might also think that the concept is similar to some other anime series but some scenes and dialogues just tugs at your mind some point. I also find the depthness of this anime very overwhelmingly well portrayed. I know there are existing anime characters that shares the same aspects as them but it didn't get in the way of loving each persona of the series. The characters' personality and individuality was also really well portrayed. It didn't really made the quality of the anime's plot decrease that much. How the anime progresses was really done well too despite it having some cliché scenes at some point of the series. As to what the genres of this anime are, its around the combinations of mystery, romance, slice of life, occultic, and a bit on the comedy side. One of what made this anime really entertaining to watch as well is it has a very good animation which in my opinion really suited well with the genres and the character settings. It just gets you more interested as to what might be the cause of Yuuko-san's lost memories and why she's very attached to the school. I also really liked the balance of the anime being comedic yet still portrayed its depthness and mysteriousness very well. That part was really beautifully knitted to each other making the storyline even more interesting and mysterious. What made me enjoy this anime was that how each paranormal activities rumoured around at their school is connected to Yuuko-san's mysterious past. ![]() The club's purpose as to why it was founded was to find out what are the lost memories of Yuuko-san might be, and what was the reason behind her death and why she's currently a ghost wandering inside Seikyou Academy. And through this meeting, the Paranormal Investigation Club was born which also lead to the both of them meeting the other two club members which are Kanoe Kirie and Momoe Okonogi. The story is about a boy named Niiya Teiichi who became good friends with the amnesiac female ghost named Kanoe Yuuko after meeting her when he wandered around the old building of his school, Seikyou Academy, when he tried if one of the famous ghost stories in his school that got him quite curious was true, which in the end, really was. I could even say that this anime is one of the hidden gems I was so lucky to find since its not quite popular in the otaku world. The anime really has a great plot in my opinion. It has been licensed by Sentai Filmworks in North America. ![]() An anime adaptation by Silver Link aired between April and June 2012.
